License Properties Supported with Redundant Licenses

A redundant license is a network license that supports only certain license properties. The table below provides more information.

License commuting

Yes

You can use a redundant license for commuting purposes. However, the license authorization can only be checked out from the leader License Manager (and not from the followers). Similarly, the commuted token must be checked in to the same leader License Manager.

License sharing

Yes.

All the users sharing a token (as per the sharing criteria) must obtain the shared tokens from the same redundant License Manager pool.

License holding

Yes

License queuing

Yes

Since the license queues are attached to a particular License Manager, if a leader License Manager having a queue goes down, the queue is not transferred to the new leader License Manager, and requests in the queue are terminated.

Public vendor information

Yes

However, the vendor information (both public and private) should not exceed total of 395 characters.
